The Grand Seiko 4522-8000 (ref. 45GSC 010) is a Hi-Beat manual wind watch of the 45GS family. There are two versions of this reference, one in stainless steel and the other with a gold cap case.
This reference strictly adheres to Taro Tanaka’s Grammar of Design, also known as “Grand Seiko Style”.
The first appearance in the official Seiko catalog is in the first volume of 1969, while the last appearance is in the catalog of 1972, where only the gold cap version is shown.
There is a time only version of both the stainless steel and the cap gold watches, with reference 4520-8000 (45GS 010).
